Donna didn’t get the part but a new career began. Not being one to want to look like she didn’t know what she was doing, she immediately began studying at the Strasberg institute. Landing her first theatre role in “The Boy King” really planted a seed and the need to act. She quickly began to develop a reputation for outstanding work, which helped her take chances in pursuing the role of Gloria in Sy-Fy’s “Frankenfish ” which landed her a co-starring role. She has also played opposite accomplished actors such as  Callie Thorne in “Necessary Roughness,  Vivica Fox in “3 Can Play That Game”, Nate Parker and Ricky Schroder in “Blood Done Sign My Name”. Other guest starring roles include,  Rectify”, “The Rickey Smiley Show”, “House Of Payne”, My Manny”, and “Meet The Browns”. Donna has been seen on Will Packer's "Ambitions" in a recurring guest starring role. "Saints and Sinners" is her latest recurring guest starring role which she has been apart of for the last three seasons.

Auditioning on Skype for director Francis Lawrence landed Donna a role in “Hunger Games Mockingjay 1” while working on “StarCrossed," in a recurring role. Co-starring in “Sacrament was a first at playing an actual person in the  story of Jim Jones. Other film credits include: Fundamental Of A Caregiver, My Child Is Missing, Mississippi Damned, Daddy’s Little Girl, The Gospel, Pandora’s Box, and Trois. Horror movies became one of her favorites when working on "Conjure" and "The Birds".
